The Lacquer Porosity Test Apparatus offered by us is a specialized equipment, designed for testing the porosity of lacquer / wax, which is internally coated on metallic (aluminum) tubes as per ISI standards. The coated tube is filled with test-solution that contains copper sulphate and copper electrode is immersed in this solution. A fixed small D.C. potential is then applied between the sliding top copper whose flow is proportional to the areas of the surface not covered by internal coating when the tube makes contact with the cathode. Further visual indication is provided by the means of by deposition of copper if coating is not continuous.

 

The equipment provides the reading directly on the LED display. The required information is achieved quickly and reliably, which makes the apparatus particularly useful for quality control application. It is assembled in a mild steel cabinet of size 27.5 cm x 22.5 cm x 17.5 cm. and finished in powder coated paint. The equipment is suitable for 230V AC 50 Hz.

Lacquer Porosity Tester Model LPT -50N is specially designed to assist in quantitative determination of the porosity of the internal coating by determining the amount of flow of electric current which is proportional to the area of the pores on the surface.   

LPT-50N can be used to perform the method of testing one is current through-flow method and electrolytic deposition of copper method. Using LPT-50N  one can test the porosity of  lacquer coating either aluminum tubes or cans or caps of bottles can be tested
